Command Reference

Command Description
init Check a manifest and show a summary
build Download images and charts into a bundle
registry Deploy a registry and ChartMuseum in Kubernetes
push Push images (and charts, for the built-in registry)
unpack Extract a bundle into the current directory

Typical Workflow

On a connected machine:

  1. init to check your manifest
  2. build to create the bundle

In the air-gapped environment, either:

  • Registry you already have: push --external-registry <host>, then helm install from the charts in the bundle (unpack extracts them).
  • Registry deployed by Capsailer: registry, then push --namespace <ns>. Charts are published to ChartMuseum as well.

Flags

Every command accepts:

-h, --help Show help for the command

The root command also accepts -v, --version.

Other flags belong to individual commands. --kubeconfig and --namespace exist on registry and push only. Run capsailer <command> --help to see exactly what a command accepts.

Exit Codes

All commands exit with 0 on success and 1 on any error. The error message is printed to standard output.
